We had a very pleasant time on this trip. In reality it was two trips in one. The first a highlight tour of Costa Rica which we enjoyed thoroughly, the people, sightseeing, and food. The second, pickleball mornings. Here I found it a bit disorganized and a rush to get out after pickleball play to go on the afternoon sightseeing venues. I would have preferred less sightseeing venues in the afternoon (or delayed further into the afternoon) when in the capital so we could return to the hotel and properly shower, lunch and get ready for the afternoon or evening venues.. The Jaco beach venue was good, although not being able to swim in the ocean due to the rough surf and rip tides was a bummer. The hotel itself and restaurants were very good. Perhaps a different hotel venue with nearby pickleball and usable beach would have been better. We were surprised (and disappointed) that we had to share our third hour of pickleball on Thursday with the locals, this really cut down our opportunity to play as there were just too many people for the 4 courts to support. Tatiana and Oscar were fantastic. Always ready to help and support us as needed.

We all turned into family within 24 hours. this was one of those rare groups when a lot of people just click that was fun !the accommodations were outstanding five star hotels and locations. all the adventures were a lot of fun well-planned and the bus was the best I've ever had. I would definitely go with Navago Sports tours again!

We met some nice people. The pickleball play was lacking significantly. We were also on buses way too much and the end of trip resort was less then desireable.

Thank you for sharing your feedback. We’re glad you enjoyed meeting and playing with fellow travelers, as that is often a highlight of our group trips. We were a bit surprised to see a 1-star rating, especially after our recent phone call, where you shared that you enjoyed your time in Costa Rica. A rating at this level usually reflects a serious issue, so there may be a disconnect between your overall experience and this review. Our pickleball tours are built around access to quality courts. In Costa Rica, the best facilities are not located near jungle or adventure areas, so some drives are part of balancing play time with classic Costa Rica experiences. We choose hotels close to the courts to keep play convenient, which does mean certain activities require travel.

Michael and Vincent were amazing guides as they guided my NHTI College Soccer team through 3 different distinct parts of Costa Rica. We got to experience playing international soccer as well as ziplining and a big favorite was being a part of a baby turtle release program. They also set it up so that my team could give back to the community by putting a youth soccer clinic as well as be a part of a beach cleanup project. It was just a wonderful trip that my college team will never forget. Thank you Navigo Sports!!!

Thank you for the great review and for traveling with us. We’re glad your team enjoyed the mix of soccer, adventure, and community experiences in Costa Rica. I’ll be sure to pass your kind words along to Michael and Vincent. It was a pleasure working with your group, and we’d love to support your program again in the future.

Tour directors and bus driver were amazing!! Could not be more pleased! Costa Rica was beautiful and the locals were so friendly! La Fortuna was the favorite with the zip lines and waterfall! (Be prepared for a 500 steps down and back up stairs though!)Now for the advice I wish I had received…..Watch the itinerary for travel time on bus; we had a lot of travel time and really shortened the time there. Hotels were mostly 2 star with maybe one 3 star. The last hotel in Jaco Beach was unacceptable, extremely run down, 20 min walk from beach, not clean., and nothing provided-hard to even get bottled water! Jaco Beach in my opinion was not worthy of a tour group spot-they are much nicer and safer beaches in Costa Rica. That was very disappointing and surprising that they would pick that spot for a group of 19-21 year old girls, it wasn’t a safe area to walk in, especially at night. Also bring toilet paper, the facilities where we played soccer did not have that and bathrooms were disgusting. Also, book your own flights instead of a group reservation. We had connections, back rows of plane, and awful travel times-lost first and last day to travel and only had 5 days there and with travel time on bus—really ended up being only 4. From this experience, I need to go back and see other areas especially other beaches in Costa Rica as this wasn’t a good first impression.
